The Process

  1. 1. Select your session

Choose which session best fits you and contact Alison with any preferred dates or times.

  2. 2. Secure your date

Once we’ve found the date, you’ll be sent a contract to read over and electronically accept and then you can secure your session by paying a $100 retainer. The rest of the payment will be due by the date of the session.

  3. 3. Let’s prepare!

You will then be sent a Session and Styling Guide to prepare you for your session and give you clothing suggestions along with a questionnaire so I can tailor your session to suit you. We will also find the perfect location for your photos! If you have any questions or concerns along the way, don’t hesitate to ask!

  4. 4. Time to have fun!

On the day of your session, relax and be in the moment. Let me do any worrying and just enjoy the time with your family!

  5. 5. A little preview

I love letting you preview a few images from your session! These will be available on Captured by Alison’s Facebook page and/or website blog before your gallery is ready. Please feel free to share them with your friends and family!

  6. 6. Your images are ready!

Within 3-4 weeks of your session, I will carefully edit your images and upload them to a private online gallery. You will then have access for one week to view and select your images! You will also be able to order some beautiful quality prints and wall art of your favourite images. This is my favourite part and I love hearing what you think of your images!

  7. 7. Keeping a backup

As soon as you have access to your images, I strongly recommend you download and back them up straight away, just in case something were to happen to your computer. I will also keep copies of your digital images for two years from the date of the photo session, so if something happens during that time and you lose your images, I am able to provide you with copies. This also means that if you later decide you would like some wall art or prints from the images, I can assist within the two years.
